Cousins Properties announced that it has signed four new retailers to come to Emory Point, the $100 million mixed-use project being built on Clifton Road in northeast Atlanta near Emory University and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The new leases include Tin Lizzy’s, Fresh To Order, Jazmin Spa and the first U.S. location of the Italian restaurant, La Tagliatella. These four join a group of retailers who have already signed on to the project, including CVS, Jos A. Bank Clothiers, Marlow’s Tavern and Which Wich Superior Sandwiches. Cousins said in press release that it is considering other retailers to “round out the mix,” including other dining, women’s boutiques and professional services.

When this Phase I of the project is finished, Emory Point will have about 80,000 square feet of retail space and, on the residential side, 443 apartments. Cousins partnered with another Atlanta development company, Gables Residential, to build this project, the largest private development to start inside the Perimeter in more than three years.

Emory Point is expected to open in the fall of 2012.
